About ShareMed Swiss

We advance more sustainable healthcare solutions by empowering donors to repurpose and redistribute surplus medicines into life-saving resources for underserved communities.

Our Mission

ShareMed is on a mission to reduce medicine waste and improve global healthcare access by creating a trusted marketplace for medicine supply redistribution. We connect pharma and healthcare organizations with excess supplies to those who need them most, ensuring quality, compliance, and sustainability every step of the way. We are striving a shift to a more resilient healthcare system in which pharma waste is minimised, products and materials are kept in use at the highest value possible.

The Problem We're Solving

$18 billion worth of medicine supplies are wasted and incinerated annually in developed countries.
Manufacturers, wholesalers, and healthcare facilities struggle with excess inventory due to overstocking, product changes, or supply risks.
In Switzerland alone, millions of boxes of unexpired, unopened medicines worth up to 1 billion CHF are discarded every year.
Hundreds of millions of people in underserved regions lack access to essential medicines.
Medicine waste creates a major environmental impact as millions of tons are incinerated or sent to landfills.
