ShareMed is a digital platform that connects healthcare organizations, pharmaceutical companies, and medical suppliers to redistribute excess medical supplies. We help reduce waste while providing access to quality medical supplies for those in need.
Who can use ShareMed?
ShareMed is designed for legal entities such as healthcare organizations, pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, clinics, NGOs, and humanitarian organizations. All users must complete KYC verification to ensure platform integrity.
How do I register?
Registration is simple: 1) Choose your account type (Donor or Requester), 2) Create an account with your email, 3) Verify your email, 4) Complete KYC Level 1 verification with your organization details. The entire process takes about 10-15 minutes.
What is KYC verification?
KYC (Know Your Customer) is a verification process that ensures all platform users are legitimate organizations. KYC Level 1 requires basic organization information. KYC Level 2 (optional) provides access to premium features and requires additional documentation.
Is ShareMed free to use?
Yes! Basic platform usage is free. We don't charge fees for listing supplies or posting needs. Users arrange payments directly with each other for any transactions.
For Donors
What types of supplies can I list?
You can list pharmaceuticals and supplies. All items must be in-date, unopened, in solid dosage form, and properly stored. We support both donations and paid transactions.
Can I list expired products?
No. No. Listing expired medications or supplies is strictly prohibited and violates our Terms of Service. All supplies must have sufficient shelf life remaining (minimum 12 months recommended)
How do I price my supplies?
You can offer supplies as donations (free) or set a price for cost recovery. Many donors offer supplies at 80-90% below market prices. You can also leave pricing negotiable.
What documentation do I need?
You should have: Certificate of Analysis (CoA), batch numbers, expiry dates, storage records, and relevant certifications (GDP, GMP). For international shipments, you'll need export licenses and customs documentation.
For Requesters
How do I find supplies?
You can browse available supplies, use search filters (product name, ATC code, category), or post your needs and let donors find you. Our matching algorithm also suggests relevant supplies based on your profile.
Can I get free donations?
Yes! Many donors offer supplies as donations, especially for charitable healthcare programs. You can filter for donation-only supplies when searching.
What are the costs involved?
ShareMed platform usage is free. Costs may include: product price (if not donated), shipping/logistics, customs duties, and import permits. You negotiate these directly with donors.
How do I verify quality?
Check the listing for: batch numbers, expiry dates, storage conditions, certifications (GDP, GMP), and donor verification status. Request Certificates of Analysis and other documentation before committing.
Safety & Compliance
Is ShareMed safe?
Yes. We implement multiple safety measures: KYC verification for all users, quality tracking (batch numbers, expiry dates), compliance checks, secure communications, and a rating system. However, users are responsible for verifying supplies before accepting them.
How do you verify users?
All users undergo KYC verification, providing organization registration documents, business licenses, and contact information. We verify this information before granting platform access.
What about regulatory compliance?
ShareMed helps track compliance requirements (GDP, GMP, regulatory zones) but users are responsible for ensuring their transactions comply with all applicable laws and regulations in their jurisdictions.
What if something goes wrong?
Contact our support team immediately. We can help mediate disputes, but note that ShareMed is a facilitator only - transactions are between users. We recommend clear agreements and proper documentation for all transactions.
Transactions & Logistics
How do payments work?
ShareMed does not process payments. Users arrange payment terms directly (bank transfer, invoice, etc.). We recommend using secure payment methods and clear agreements.
Who handles shipping?
Users coordinate shipping directly. Requesters or Donors can offer delivery, pickup, or specify Incoterms (EXW, FOB, CIF). For temperature-sensitive products, ensure proper cold chain logistics.
What about international shipments?
International shipments require: export license (source country), import permit (destination country), customs documentation, and compliance with both countries' regulations. Users are responsible for obtaining necessary permits.
Can I cancel a transaction?
Cancellation terms should be agreed upon between parties before committing. We recommend clear agreements including cancellation policies. Contact support if you need help resolving issues.
